Kristof Vrancken (°1982-Hasselt, België) studeerde fotografie aan de Media en Design Academy te Genk. Sinds 2008 is hij er werkzaam als docent Fotografie. Ook is hij actief als freelance- en kunstfotograaf. Zijn werk wordt gekenmerkt door een 'cleanliness met een hoekje af'. In zijn freelance opdrachten primeert het ene, in zijn artistieke oeuvre het andere. Hij onderzoekt de relatie tussen mens en omgeving in de vergeten tussenruimtes achter de façade van de maatschappij. De resultaten hiervan vermengd met absurdisme en donkere humor vormen de sleutel tot zijn beeldend werk. www.kristof-vrancken.com 2inchriot.tumblr.com
